Claddagh Ring Blog - Irish Poem by Valerie Heney

'SILENT TEARS'

I listened to the words
Of your favourite song
Powerful, beautiful, strong
Silent tears began to fall
I laughed at all your jokes
Knew your thoughts
Before you spoke
Tender, warm loving feelings
Now inside my heart is screaming
You lied with elegance and grace
Your mask never slipping from your face
A synthetic heart from the very start
Reflection - what do you see
Who is really looking back at me
Who is keeping me company tonight
Will I dance under the moon light
Now! you're like a windy day
Your memory has blown away
Now I'm dancing in the wind
Waiting for new new to give
